The Finnish Premieres 1996-2003

Accordion artists Trio Fratres will kick off this year’s jubilee concert program by celebrating themselves. The trio has become a phenomenon in Finnish music circles and has built up an international following through its performances of contemporary Finnish art music as well as baroque and Russian romantic styles. Heavy metal and techno have also featured in the trio’s repertoire, which it has performed in 14 countries in Europe as well as, among others, Lebanon, Mexico and Japan.

The anniversary concert will include original works interpreted by four different accordion trios in collaboration with music academies in Denmark, Latvia and Finland.
