DALLAPÈ is living history of Finnish music
Dallapé, Europe’s longest-running entertainment orchestra, has reached the respectable age of 100. Founded in 1925, Dallapé has made countless songs by Finnish songwriters evergreen and brought the international hits of their time to the attention of the Finnish audience.
The great names of Finnish orchestral entertainment, from Bruno Laakso to Georg Malmsten and from Kauko Käyhkö to Rauno Lehtinen, have been the driving forces behind Dallapé, not to mention Olavi Virta, who served as the orchestra’s guitarist and vocal soloist.
In 2010, Juha Hostikka took over as the orchestra’s conductor and vocalist, restoring the Dallapé orchestra to its 1930s glory. Carefully crafted entertainment orchestra arrangements and swinging music are Dallapé’s trademarks. The concert will feature evergreen favorites such as Ikkunaprinsessa, Angelique, Muistan sua Elaine, Äänisen aallot, and Jälleen soittaa Dallapé. The 11-piece orchestra, tuned to perfection, will perform beloved pop songs from throughout the orchestra’s history.
During Dallapé’s anniversary year, the orchestra had the special honor of performing for the President of the Republic in Kesäranta.
You are guaranteed a memorable Valentine’s Day evening filled with swinging and nostalgic music!
